"IT IS THE GREATEST! From candy that is weighed up individually like the old 5 and dime
to things that you could never imagine that they still made and you need them NOW. The
people running the store were very helpful as to local things to see in the area as well. It
was like stepping back into the childhood of yesterday. Loved it and I am sure you will as
well."

"Just like it says-a leap back in time. No steps back here! Not a big store but a packed one,
endless cool stuff it seemed. Kids loved the tin toys and staff attitude. Neat soap included
tar soap and lye. Good selection of nostalgic candy- chocolate covered walnuts are
exceptional. Old things I remember like cedar boxes and several tins of salve. Really a neat
place"

"A short detour off US 50 takes you to quaint Harrisville, where Berdine's Five and Dime,
the nation's oldest such store, still stocks penny candy at an antique confection counter,
along with every other imaginable item, from the frivolously fun to the solidly functional.
Original oak shelves and counters, tin ceilings and vintage lighting add a nostalgic glow.
